Every boat has a slight bit of moisture in them even if your bilges are dry and clean.  Moisture in the air create mold and mildew smells. The only way to keep those from building up is to have a positive flow of air moving through the bilges and through stale air areas, thus keeping everything clean smelling. 41 ‘ Hatteras

We have a 1971 Hatteras and have owned it since 1981.  We have been dealing with the “Hatteras” smell for a lot of years.  We’ve tried different treatments including ozone generators, odor eaters and even perfume. We used to walk on the boat after it had been closed up for a week and turned on the air conditioner and it would bring everything up.  It was embarrassing if we had people with us. This system has taken care of it.  There are a lot of small hidden areas that we couldn’t get to that the hoses ran perfectly to.  The big benefit is to keep the air moving in enclosed spaces. – John Larsen, 41′ Hatteras, Stuart,...
